Video Shows Oklahoma Dog Rescuing Dog From Swimming Pool

Video of a dog rescuing another dog from a swimming pool got a lot of attention recently, so I just had to go meet Rebel for myself.

The video shows Rebel push his buddy, Dax, into the pool. Then, when Dax couldn't get out, Rebel grabbed him by the collar and pulled him out.

The dogs belong to Linda Frazier, who said her husband was out by the pool and saw it happen. She didn’t believe it until they saw the security camera footage.

"We spent an hour rolling it back to find the exact time," she said.

She said she loves her rescue dogs.

"We have five dogs, a hamster, and a cat," Frazier said.

Meredith Butcher from Oklahoma Westie Rescue said rescues make terrific companions.

"If you get it from a rescue group, they've usually vetted out the medical issues, the behavioral issues," said Butcher.

Some may have been in foster homes and had some training,

Picking up a rescue dog, or dogs, can help solve Oklahoma’s dog over-population problem.
