Rogers County Man Arrested For Rape

A man is in jail after Rogers County Deputies say he raped a woman when she was 16.

Deputies say in 2007 a then 22-year-old Elliott Cooper inappropriately touched the girl while she was in bed. After the victim came forward, deputies interviewed Cooper who admitted he had done some things when he was "young and dumb." Police say the victim recently recounted the events to another woman who claimed Elliot had also violated her in the same way around the same time.

Deputies say he was remorseful and asked for forgiveness before being booked into jail. He's facing a felony count of rape by instrumentation.
