Pittsburg County Man Charged With Manslaughter

Prosecutors charge a man Thursday with first-degree manslaughter in connection with a shooting in Hartshorne earlier this year.

According to court documents filed in the case, 34-year-old Nicholas Cabanatan was under the influence of alcohol when investigators say a gun Cabanatan was holding, accidently went off, striking and killing Kyle Brown.

The shooting happened on March 27th.

Nicholas Cabanatan was booked into the Pittsburg County jail. Court records show he has a court appearance set for September 21st.
