Missing Children Found In Owasso, Mother Arrested

A woman is in the Tulsa County Jail after authorities said they found her in Owasso with four children who were missing from Arkansas.

The U.S. Marshals’ Office said they got a tip Wednesday that Lacee Pattengill and her four children - ranging in age from 15 months to 7 years - were at an apartment complex in Owasso.

They said the children's paternal grandparents were given emergency custody by the state of Arkansas earlier this month but Pattengill refused to give up custody.

Authorities in northwest Arkansas soon found out that she had left the area with the children but it's not clear why she was in Owasso.

The Marshals’ Office said Pattengill's children have been turned over to their grandparents.

Pattengill will be sent back to Arkansas.
