Police Chase From Owasso To Tulsa Ends In Crash, Suspect Arrested

A man is headed to jail after leading police on a chase from Owasso to Tulsa.

Police say Brooks McCall Whiteside crashed near the I-244 and the Highway 169 interchange after taking off when police attempted to stop him for a traffic violation.

Officers say they found a loaded handgun in a saddlebag.

He was arrested for eluding police, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony (first offense) as well as the traffic violations that precipitated the chase. Court records say he was speeding, had an expired tag, failed to show insurance verification and failed to notify DPS of an address change.
