Catoosa Fire Officials are releasing new information on the electrocution of a truck driver last Friday.

Fire investigators said it appears the truck driver was using a manual crank to lower the tarp over the truck’s load. They say when the tarp accidentally hit the power line, the man was electrocuted.

Catoosa Fire Chief Denus Benton said the man’s condition was extremely critical when they arrived on scene. The truck driver died at the hospital Friday afternoon.
