TPD: Two Teens Arrested For Driving Stolen SUV

Police arrest two teenagers Wednesday night in a stolen SUV after a brief chase.

Police Sgt. Brandon Watkins says the arrests are part of an ongoing criminal investigation 

Watkins says an officer saw the Kia SUV on North Martin Luther King Boulevard and a check of its tag showed it had been stolen.  When he tried to stop it, the driver kept going until a flat tire caused him to stop about a mile away.

Watkins says one teen got out and ran, but a K9 officer caught him. The other juvenile remained in the SUV.  

He says both are under 18 are now in the juvenile detention center, so their names have not been released.
