Two people are in jail after police say a homeowner caught them in his Tulsa house from China.

Around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, police responded to a burglary in process in the 9700 block of East 3rd Street.

When police arrived, they found Rory Monk in the living room and detained him.

Officers said they believed a second person was in the home and, with the help of a K9 officer, found Ashley Macaulay hiding in a bedroom.

Police learned the homeowner works in China and saw the two suspects in his home thanks to his security system. They said he called a neighbor who called the police.

Officers said they found a stolen Nissan Xterra in the driveway.

Monk was arrested on complaints of second-degree burglary.

After being treated for minor injuries, police said Macaulay was arrested for second-degree burglary. They said she was also wanted in Rogers County for charges related to the unauthorized use of a vehicle.
