Thieves Steal Oklahoma Couple’s Trailer Carrying Casket, Body

Thieves in New Mexico stole an Oklahoma couple's U-Haul trailer with a family member's casket and body inside. 

Albuquerque Police said the couple was on their way to bury a relative in New Mexico when they stopped at a hotel to spend the night.

Police found the trailer abandoned a few hours later.

"For the family, absolutely, that's our biggest relief. To bring closure that quickly is always a good thing,” said Officer Tanner Tixier with Albuquerque Police.

The sheriff's office said it arrested three people in connection with the theft.
