Stigler Prepares To Vote On New Elementary School

Voters in Haskell County are preparing to decide on a school bond issue for a new elementary school.

Stigler teacher Summer McGuire sent News On 6 photos of the inside of her classroom, showing ceiling tiles damaged by rain.

A bond issue that would have fixed the aging elementary school was voted down back in 2011.

Stigler Elementary Principal Lana Mayhall says the water sometimes gets three to four inches deep after a heavy rain.
