Police credit an alert neighbor after arresting a man for holding a woman at gunpoint in a west Tulsa apartment Wednesday afternoon.

He is identified as Mark Daniels, 29.

In the arrest report, police said a woman living at some apartments in the 700 block of West 25th Street thought there was trouble involving a gun at an apartment next door and another woman was being held against her will.

Police say Mark Daniels was living with the victim at the Western Pines apartments. The victim told police, that she told Daniels she wanted to move out and that is when he became upset, got a gun and was keeping her from leaving.

After talking with Mark Daniels through an open window, police say he eventually let her go and gave himself up.  Police say the woman was not injured.

Mark Daniels was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including kidnapping and possession of a firearm.

Jail records show Daniels has a court appearance set for September 13th.
