A 26-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were taken to a Tulsa hospital after they crashed on a motorcycle Wednesday night, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Levi Kraus, of Beggs, was driving the 2014 Kawasaki west on Highway 16 just east of Beggs when he was distracted by his passenger, Elizabeth Ashley, of Beggs, the trooper's report states.
The motorcycle then left the road to the right and both Kraus and Ashley were thrown from the motorcycle, troopers said.
OHP is investigating Kraus' condition at the time of the crash, and 'inattentive driving' was cited as the cause of the collision.
Kraus was wearing a helmet, but Ashley was not, troopers said.
They were both listed as stable Thursday morning with multiple injuries.
