Tulsa Road Project To Alleviate School Traffic

Construction begins Wednesday to add a right-turn lane on South Elwood Ave. to turn east at West 71st St., according to the City of Tulsa.

Drivers can expect lane closures and occasional total street closures in the area at times. 

Work hours for this project will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Lanes will reopen in the evenings. Completion of this project is scheduled for the afternoon of Tuesday, Sept. 5. 

Adding this turn lane will help traffic move more efficiently to serve the Jenks Northwest Elementary School, 7625 S. Elwood Ave., city officials said.
