A $6 million highway surface project on Highway 169 in Tulsa is scheduled to begin Sept. 5.
It will have a major impact on traffic and drivers are urged to start planning now for the extra travel time needed, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
The project is seven miles long, stretching on Highway 169 from the U.S. 64/Memorial Drive interchange and to just north of the I-44 interchange.
Delays can be expected at all times, including the morning and evening rush hours.
The overall project is expected to complete in early summer 2018, weather permitting.
Drivers can sign up for daily traffic advisories at www.odot.org.
