California Murder Suspect Arrested in Okay, Oklahoma

Murder Suspect Daniel Clemons has been wanted in connection with a first-degree murder that happened 17 years ago, officials say.

Officials say, deputies with the Wagoner County Sheriff’s office assisted U.S. marshals Friday morning in the arrest of Clemons on a first-degree murder warrant out of Trinity County, California. 

Around 6:00 a.m. Friday, Deputies and U.S. marshals arrested Clemons at his home located in the 8200 block of North 53rd Street in Okay.

Clemons is wanted out of Trinity County, California in connection with a first-degree murder that happened in 2000, according to a report. 

Clemons has been going by the name of Steven Shade and has been living in the town of Okay for the last 13 years. 

He told deputies that he had no connection to Okay and moved from state to state before ending up in Okay 13 years ago. 

Clemons was arrested without incident and taken to the Wagoner County Jail where he is awaiting extradition back to California.
