Some of Oklahoma's own are headed to Texas ahead of Hurricane Harvey.
A radar team from the University of Oklahoma left earlier this evening.
They'll coordinate with the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi and help track the storm.
The team says they didn't have much notice that they'd be leaving.
"Unfortunately that's kind of the price you pay when you work in this field because a lot of times, because we are still learning. Just show up that morning, and sometimes you only have an hour or two notice," said Sean Waugh, OU graduate student.
The Oklahoma Red Cross is already on the way to Houston to help.
And Public Service of Oklahoma crews from Tulsa, Bartlesville and McAlester will be leaving at 6 a.m. to provide aid as well.
