A Claremore EMT will be honored next week as a "Star of Life" from the American Ambulance Association.
Pafford Emergency Service says Marilyn Williams is one of 108 professionals from across the country who are being recognized for their work with patients and peers.
Williams will go to Washington, D.C. next week for the award and the American Ambulance Association says she will also meet with several Oklahoma congressmen about EMS services in Oklahoma.
The association’s "Stars of Life" program celebrates the contributions of ambulance professionals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty in service to their communities or the EMS profession.
