New lane closures were set up Tuesday morning as the Highway 75 resurfacing project continues, but the new lane closure slowed down people's morning commute.
Road crews closed the left, northbound lane of Highway 75 between 96th Street South and 81st.
Traffic began backing up before 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Work will continue on Highway 75 until later this summer, so drivers who use 75 will need to plan to leave earlier than usual to plan for the slowdowns.
The southbound lanes along this 96th to 81st stretch are open
The northern half of the project from the Red Fork Split to 71st was scheduled to be done first before the southern leg began.
