Special Olympics Oklahoma President and CEO Adrian DeWendt says all events scheduled for Thursday night in Stillwater have been canceled due to concerns over potential severe weather.

This is the 34th consecutive year the Oklahoma Special Olympics Summer Games have been held on the OSU campus.

More than 5,000 athletes started competition on Wednesday, and the games are set to conclude Friday morning.

It’s the largest Special Olympics Summer Games in the nation
