LeFlore County authorities expect to resume their search Wednesday for a man and a woman, after their boat overturned in the Arkansas River on Sunday, April 23rd.
The couple is identified as William and Christy Farhat.
KFSM, the CBS affiliate in Fort Smith says rescue crews had been waiting for the rain to subside.
The incident happened at Lock and Dam 14 and Sheriff Rob Seale says the Arkoma family of four was in the 15-foot Jon boat when it capsized.
He says the Farha's four-year-old son, Weston made it out of the river on his own and was found by firefighters who were driving by. His brother, six-year-old Physher, was pulled out of the river, after rescuers saw him floating wearing a life jacket.
Physher was flown to a Little Rock hospital, where he later died.
Authorities believe the accident happened because the boat was too close to the dam and got washed over.
KFSM says Physher's funeral will be at 4 p.m. on Friday at the elementary school in Arkoma.
