A boat capsized after taking on water from the nose Sunday afternoon on the Verdigris River and all five occupants were uninjured and taken to shore by a passing boat.
Oologah-Talala Emergency Medical Services and the Northwest Rogers County Fire Protection District were called about 2 p.m. to assist in the incident below Oologah dam, OTEMS PIO John Wylie said.
Response units arrived about 10 minutes after the call came in and all occupants of the boat were out of the water on the shore.
A passing boater at the site transported the five people from the water, officials said.
Four of the boat occupants decline to be checked out by OTEMS, but one occupant was checked and was determined to be stable but she declined transport to the hospital, OTEMS said.
No information was available on the occupants' names or the type of watercraft involved.
