The Humane Society of Tulsa said it has nearly 70 pets available for adoption. Their goal is to "clear their shelters" so that all the pets have a home for the holidays.
There are dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages and cats are also available.
In the last six weeks, Humane Society of Tulsa said it has saved 151 animals from kill shelters across the state of Oklahoma.
The Humane Society said it wants, "all of these dogs and cats to have a second chance at a new beginning."
HSOT said the Leinbach Company is sponsoring 20 adoptions this week and all other adoptions range from $50-$220. All pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and tested for heartworms and/or feline leukemia.
In an effort to get as many pets as possible adopted before Christmas, the Humane Society of Tulsa has extended its hours so that potential pet owners can stop in to see the animals.
HSOT, which is located at 6232 E. 60th Street, will be open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to noon. Their Bixby shelter, located at 13290 S. 80th E. Avenue, will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
