Sunshine, Warmer Temps Across Eastern Oklahoma

Temperatures will be back to near-normal Tuesday afternoon across eastern Oklahoma. Our normal high on a 30-year average is 48 and today we’re look at upper 40s and low 50s for maximum daytime temperatures. 

Sunshine will be in full force today and with dry air still in place, temperatures are able to warm up more efficiently. Dry air can bring problems with dry nasal passages and chapped lips, but at least our temperatures can warm up easier!

Wednesday, a cold front is expected to move through. This is NOT an arctic front so a plunge in temperatures like what happened over the weekend will not occur. We’ll see winds shift around to the northwest for the afternoon and highs on Thursday will be knocked back down to near normal. 

A few more clouds will roll through Wednesday afternoon also but that will be it for impacts. 
            
Thursday will be a quiet day but Friday will be the start of rain chances for our Christmas weekend. A few scattered showers will be possible throughout the day on Friday as an upper level passes by.

Chances are slight but there will be enough moisture returning to support a few scattered showers. We’ll start to see higher chances for rain on Saturday which could linger through Christmas Eve services across eastern Oklahoma.
