A Claremore school is closed Monday, December 19 after a sprinkler system malfunction caused pipes to burst. Principal Pete Jensen of Legacy Christian, which is attached to the First Baptist Church of Claremore, said they have pretty extensive water damage.
Two upstairs rooms have the most damage but two first floor rooms also need work, Jensen said. The break took place about 1 p.m. Sunday, and fortunately people were in the church and able to respond quickly.
The school will be out Monday through Wednesday when their Christmas break begins.
It's not clear how long it'll take to get the problem fixed, but school representatives said the problem is under control.
