A few flights have been canceled or pushed back to start the day at Tulsa International Airport following a blast of winter across the country. Some 11,000 flights nationwide were delayed over the weekend, and another 4,000 were canceled.
Tulsa International Airport started the day with canceled or delayed flights to Chicago, Denver and Houston. Many flyers were left to adjust their schedules.
Devon Douglas is heading to Chicago, then changing flights to New York for work training. She was delayed - and worried about falling behind at work.
"I'm a tad bit nervous about making my connecting flight once I get to the next city, but other than that, it's inconvenient but not the worst," she said. "I've heard worse stories."
O'Hare is already reporting hundreds of flights canceled there this weekend due to the snow and ice they're getting.
It's a good idea to check arrival and departure times before heading out to the airport. The flyers we talked with said arriving early helped them adjust their schedules a little bit easier.
