The $1.6 million project began in September.

The project started just north of Washington Street and ran to Kenosha Street and was paid with 2011 General Obligation Bond and Sales Tax Capital Improvement funds.
“This stretch of Aspen Avenue is one of the busiest in Broken Arrow, so we’re very appreciative of drivers’ cooperation and patience while we completed this necessary work,” said Alex Mills, Director of Engineering and Construction.
City officials say pedestrian signal modifications at the intersection of Aspen and Detroit will be completed after the new year in order to not hinder holiday traffic.
