Two people are in jail for stealing beer from a convenience store, crashing into a Tulsa Police patrol car and leading officers on a chase late Friday.

They are identified as 18-year-old Makaylah Raymond and 21-year-old Mackenzie Raymond.

Officers said it all started at 7:45 p.m. when an officer witnessed Makaylah run out of a QuikTrip in the 200 block of North Gilcrease Museum Road carrying a case of beer.  Police said she got into a waiting car and the driver, Mackenzie Raymond sped off, hitting the patrol car as he left the parking lot.

The officer chased the car to Edison and North Waco Avenue where they said Mackenzie crashed. Both suspects then got and ran.

Police said Makaylah Raymond was caught after a short foot chase.  But officers had to use TPD's helicopter and a K-9 officer to find and arrest Mackenzie Raymond who was hiding in the backyard of a nearby home.

Mackenzie Raymond was booked on several complaints including larceny, assault and battery on a police officer, hit and run and eluding.

Makaylah Raymond was booked on complaints including larceny, resisting arrest  and public intoxication.

Jail records show both have a court appearance set for December 2nd.
