The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a single vehicle crash that injured an Edmond man on the Will Rogers Turnpike Friday evening.

Troopers said just before 7 p.m. a 2007 Honda Accord driven by 62-year-old Alfred Rush was westbound several miles west of the Adair exit when he drove off the highway, struck a ditch, causing the car to roll coming to rest on its top.

Firefighters had to free him from the wreckage.

The OHP report states Rush was flown to a Tulsa hospital where he was admitted in serious condition.

Their report also states Rush was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash.
