The first widespread freeze of the fall is on the way for eastern Oklahoma overnight and into early Saturday morning.
As north winds slowly begin to relax tonight, temperatures are expected to bottom out in the mid to upper 20s across northeastern Oklahoma with low 30s across southeastern Oklahoma. This would be the first official freeze of the fall for Tulsa, which is coming about two and a half weeks later than our average first fall freeze.
Make sure you cover up any tender vegetation or bring some of those plants inside if you can! Also, be sure your outdoor pets have a way to stay warm during the freezing temperatures, or bring them inside as well if at all possible.

Chilly air will continue into our Saturday with high temperatures only recovering to the low to mid 50s. Another freeze is expected by early Sunday morning with low temperatures once again at or just below freezing.
