Two multiple vehicle crashes on two Tulsa highways slowed the morning commute for many drivers Thursday morning.
The first incident happened in the westbound lanes of Interstate-244 between Highway 169 and Memorial. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says there were two separate crashes about a mile apart. One at I-244 and Mingo involved two cars and the other on the exit ramp from Highway 169 to westbound I-244 involved three vehicles.
Troopers report one person was injured and taken to the hospital.
A short time later, the OHP said another crash shut down two northbound lanes of Highway 169 just north of I-244 due to a five vehicle crash.
That crash backed up northbound traffic on 169 for several miles.
One person from that crash was also taken to a Tulsa hospital.
