Tulsa Police say officers will be cracking down on drivers who run red lights this month in south and west parts of the city.
In a news release, the department says the focus will be on major retail corridors south of 11th Street and west of Sheridan during the month of November.
Traffic officers will randomly monitor all major intersections in that area.
Police say some of those intersections have a dangerous accident history when it comes to red light violations. They say their goal is to reduce the frequency and severity of those accidents.
Police say a citation issued for a running a red light will cost $200, adding no warnings will be given.
