Tulsa police are investigating after a body was found in the Arkansas River.
Police said a fisherman was under the bridge near 100 West I-44 when he smelled an odor.
According to officers, the fisherman found a body and called 911.
The medical examiner was able to determine the body that of a middle-aged white man with no visible signs of trauma. It has yet to be determined how the man died.
Police said the body was badly decomposed so it was hard to tell just by looking at the victim.
Sergeant Patrick Stephens with TPD said the body looks to have been there for a while, but no specific time was given.
Police said at least in recent history, this is the first time, they've found a body there.
