Finding a friend may be easier for some Tulsa Public Schools students, thanks to newly installed "buddy benches."
Four Tulsa Public School campuses have them.
At play time, if a child is too shy to look for a friend, they can find one on the bench.
Nancy McDonald said the Oklahoma Center for Community Justice held fundraisers to buy them.
"We want our children to have the necessary skills to interact with children who are different, or who have a different color of skin, or speak a different language or maybe a different body image," said McDonald.
The goal is to get one at every Tulsa school.
