Man Escapes Claremore House Fire

Firefighters said a Claremore man escaped his burning home through a window early Tuesday.

That fire destroyed the home near the intersection of East Fry Court and Wewoka Avenue.

The Claremore Fire Department said the man was not burned, but did get some glass cuts climbing out the window.

Firefighters said the man was the only one home at the time.  

A neighbor shot some cell phone video of the flames as they engulfed the home.  Firefighters said the fire did cause some minor damage to a home next door. 

Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
