Oklahoma Eagle Scout Organizes Fundraiser For Veteran Cycling Program

An Oklahoma Eagle Scout hosted a bike race for veterans Saturday morning in Broken Arrow as part of his Eagle Scout project.

Austen Hufford says the "veterans challenge" fundraiser is helping support a veteran cycling program.

Hufford says they'll buy adapting bikes to make sure veterans continue riding.

“I asked the clinic if there was anything I could do for you guys,” said Hufford. “They said, ‘yes you could do a fundraiser to get us money to buy a trainer, helmets, tubes and bicycles,’ for their riders.

The veteran clinic says just last month more than 40 veterans have signed up for their cycling program.
