A former McAlester schools superintendent has pleaded no contest to embezzlement.
The McAlester News-Capital reports Marsha Gore was accused of using school money for personal purchases including restaurant meals and hotel stays.
She was fired by the school board February.
Prosecutors dropped an embezzlement charged against Gore's husband, Skip.
He also resigned as the district's plant operation manager.
Both agreed to reimburse the school district.
