Police say a man was wounded in the hand during a Tulsa home invasion robbery late Friday.

Officers were called to Tulsa's River Chase apartments in the 7800 block of South Victor just after 10:30 p.m.

They say the victim called 911 after hearing someone trying to break his apartment's front door.

Police say the victim first ran to the bedroom to hide as the robber kicked in the door, but then confronted the robber, trying to grab the robber's handgun.  Police said during the struggle, the gun went off, grazing the victim in the hand.

Police said the robber then ran out of the apartment.

EMSA treated the victim, but did not take him to the hospital.

Police say the victim could not give them a good description of the robber.
