People at the Guthrie Green are saying goodbye to summer.
The 'Tulsa Roots Rocks the Green' concert series kicked off today at the Guthrie Green and for the next four Sundays, local and regional musicians will take the stage to perform.
Musicians will perform a wide variety of genres including reggae, ska, rock, blues, folk and much more. Each evening also includes art and other activities for the kids.
Educational booths will be set up and vendors will be onsite selling handmade crafts and beer.
The free concert series is sponsored by Tulsa Roots Music, with the support of the George Kaiser Family Foundation and the University of Tulsa.
Tulsa Roots Music is Tulsa's nonprofit provider of alt-country, folk, blues, rock and world music.
The September 18, 2016 lineup includes Cherokee music, Native sketch comedy by The 1491s and Cherokee traditional arts on the lawn all day.
The concerts are free and will all be at the Guthrie Green at 111 E. Brady Street.
