There will be two very good quarterbacks on display at the Horseshoe Saturday.
Coach Philip Montgomery is familiar with both. He watched Buckeye quarterback and Wichita Falls native J.T. Barrett when he was down in Texas.
And on film, he saw Barrett account for six touchdowns and 334 yards passing in Ohio State's 77-10 win over Bowling Green. The same kid coach Montgomery saw in high school has really flourished in his time at the OSU.
"J.T.'s a good player,” said Montgomery. “I mean, got to recruit him in high school, got a chance to get to know him a little bit. He played extremely well the other day. Got them out of plays, got them out of situations, threw the ball very effectively and he's a dual-threat guy. I mean he's a guy that can pull it down and hurt you with his feet just as well as he can do it with his arm."
