The newly renovated Tulsa downtown library opens Saturday, October 1st, and there are a lot of new tools and space for those going to the library.
Wednesday was training day at the new library Starbucks - gotta make sure your Vente Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino is just right.
"People like to have a cup of coffee, and the library is also about the three Cs - convene, collaborate, and create. That's your 21st Century library," said library CEO, Gary Shaffer.
Better make that the four Cs, with coffee.
There are meeting and study rooms, large and small. Some even overlook downtown - you reserve them like you would a book.
As we moved from place to place, I noticed lots of new places to sit. They spent lots of time and money too, I bet, on all the new seats.

They even have ‘hold lockers.’ Becky Cowan said it's easy to get the items you put on hold; they'll put it in one of the lockers for you, scan your card, push the button, the locker pops open and there's your stuff.
The library doesn’t even have to be open to get your things.
As far as the new Starbucks in the library lobby, it opens Monday morning at 6:30 and is open seven days a week.
