Imagine a brand new Corvette disguised as a 1965 Chevy Impala.

The two have become one beautiful hybrid, and it's making a pit stop in Sapulpa.

"What would they have done, if they had taken more of a luxury car body and put it on a sports car drive line in 1965? What would they have come up with," asked Steve Mank.

It's a hybrid, sort of. Officially, they call it The Impostor. Mank loaned us some video of builder and designer Chip Foose and his team creating it - it started as two cars, a Corvette and a 1965 Impala.

The Foose folks took the Corvette down to the chassis and the drive train, then, modified the Impala body to fit. The result is perhaps the most beautiful car you have never see before.

The couple who own it honeymooned in a 1965 Impala.

Mank said, "They hired Chip to build another '65 Impala, of course, it got out of hand."

They beefed up the stock Corvette engine, they shortened the '65's body by more than a foot, lowered the roof a bit and took the Corvette interior elements and spread them out in the wider '65.

The result is stunning, and car show judges around the country agree.

It is visiting the Route 66 car museum in Sapulpa, so you can see it and the other automobiles.

If you want to take a look at the one-of-a-kind beauty, you can find more information here.
