City of Tulsa officials said repairs are underway on a water line that broke on Tuesday.
The water line break late Tuesday impacted traffic on a busy Tulsa street and left at five nearby businesses without water Wednesday.
The break in a 12-inch water line is between Vandalia and Toledo on 51st Street.
Officials said they had to build a road to even get to the broken pipe and that they are still digging now.
Four of the five businesses are restaurants, and now about half-dozen homes don't have water.
Traffic on 51st Street has been narrowed to one eastbound land and one westbound lane during repair work. The lane closures will remain in effect for up to one week after the water line repair so that the street can be repaired, according to city officials.
The City of Tulsa is working on the water line and said it expects to have the water line repaired and to restore water service by Friday, but more than likely, it will be completed on Saturday.
