Tulsa's Route 66 Commission To Hold Organizational Meeting

The new City of Tulsa Route 66 Commission will hold their first meeting Tuesday, to discuss their mission statement and elect officers. 

In June - Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett created the commission by executive order.

According to the city, the commission will look into how to spend some Vision money earmarked for Route 66 projects like better signage and economic development along the Mother Road.

There will be a representative from each of the city council districts Route 66 runs through, though no official city staff members will sit on the commission.
