Man Accused Of Using Hammer In Tulsa Attack Arrested In Missouri

A person of interest in the assault of two people with a hammer at a Tulsa residence was arrested in Missouri.

Officers say 30-year-old Jose Diaz, AKA Bones, was arrested around 9:30 Friday morning in the Joplin bus station.

A news release says Tulsa Warrants received a tip of Diaz’s location and notified Joplin authorities. He was taken into custody by the Southwest Fugitive Apprehension Marshal Task Force.

Police want to talk to Diaz regarding an assault of two people believed to be assaulted with a hammer.

August 18th, officers got a call about a man threatening people inside a home in the 3500 block of West 41st Street at about 1:20 a.m.

They arrived and found two victims suffering from severe head wounds. EMSA took both to the hospital.

Police say two other people in the home were questioned and said Diaz was last seen running away from the home.
