Starbase Composite Squadron Holds Open House At Tulsa National Guard Base

The Starbase Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol held an open house Tuesday night. It’s located at Tulsa's National Guard base.

The open house is part of a series of events to celebrate the Air Patrol's 75th anniversary.

Many of the cadets involved with the Civil Air Patrol will go on to military careers.

Tuesday's guest speaker is Dave Burlin, a veteran and motivational speaker.

"It's really exciting because all of these kids are going to be the future, not just of our organizations but of our military," Burlin said.

The Starbase Composite Squadron's website says the group has a number of responsibilities including search and rescue and disaster relief.
