Firefighters say residents of a rural Sand Springs home are without a place to stay after the home burns overnight.

Sand Springs firefighters responded to the fire in the 168000 block of Highway 51. Due to the lack of nearby fire hydrants, they called for assistance from Keystone Fire.

They said two pets inside the home died, but no person was hurt. About 50 percent of the mobile home was damaged. Firefighters got the fire out quickly, according to the Sand Springs fire chief.

The Red Cross was called to assist the residents.
