Driver Injured In Turner Turnpike Crash Near Sapulpa

Firefighters rescued a man trapped inside his pickup early Saturday after a crash on the Turner Turnpike in Creek County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the driver of an eastbound Toyota pickup crashed near 49th West Avenue at about 2 a.m. 

Troopers said it took about 20 minutes for Sapulpa firefighters using the Jaws of Life to free the driver.  He was taken to a Tulsa hospital.

The OHP is still investigating.
