Impact Tulsa Offering $75K Grant Match For Local Elementary Teachers

Several Tulsa charities are offering to match grants for elementary teachers working with young readers.

Impact Tulsa is arranging a $75,000 match, meaning there's $150,000 available for teachers throughout Tulsa County and Sapulpa.

"And last year we had a $50,000 match that we spent out in eight weeks,” said Amber Worten with Impact Tulsa. “Now that we have $75,000, it may be a little longer to get that money used up, but it's going a lot quicker than we expected. A lot of teacher interest."

The grants are open to teachers in pre-k through third grade classes. The limit is $500.
