In a year when school budgets have been cut across the board, Oklahoma's teachers can use all the help they can get to stock their classrooms.
Many of Tulsa area teachers are getting some help this year. The Pencil Box is a free store for teachers to use. It helps them with supplies for their classrooms and to disadvantaged students.
"It provides things that we possibly couldn't provide through the year. And, definitely, all the teachers in Tulsa appreciate it,” said Tulsa teacher Rita Miller.
Teachers from dozens of schools in Tulsa qualify to use the store.
The Pencil Box is stocked entirely by donations.
