Police say Robert Puryear is accused of stabbing another man nearby a midtown Tulsa restaurant Wednesday evening.
Police were called to the Sonic in the 200 block of South Utica at 9:15 p.m. Officers arrived and found an unconscious intoxicated victim suffering from several non-life threatening puncture wounds.
After talking with witnesses, police said it appeared the stabbing happened during an altercation between four or five homeless men at an empty lot next to the Sonic's parking lot. One of the witnesses gave police a description of the suspect.
A short time later, police arrested Robert Puryear, 52, and booked him into jail. He is being held on a complaint of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
Jail records show Puryear has a court appearance set for July 21.
